Going a bit deeper into the color wheel, here is a demo showing what a complimentary color can look like when mixed on a palette vs. on the paper.

There is a widely discussed process on which is better. Well, I say neither is better or worse - it's just a matter of what you prefer and the results you wish to get.

Here, I demo the two compliments of yellow and violet, first mixed in my palette and then mixed on my paper. Also, a brief discussion on color temperature - how to depict a particular time of day with light and shadows and how those colors will evoke that feeling.
